Manager/Supervisor
We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Branch Manager to oversee daily operations of our container production and delivery branch in the Los Angeles area. This role is responsible for managing a small team of production workers, coordinating logistics and dispatch of drivers, ensuring operational efficiency, and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
The ideal candidate is a strong leader with experience in production environments and transportation logistics, capable of balancing shop-floor supervision with field operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Operations Management
- Oversee day-to-day branch operations, including container production, maintenance, and delivery scheduling
- Ensure production goals are met while maintaining quality and safety standards
- Monitor workflow efficiency and implement process improvements
Team Leadership
- Supervise, train, and support a small team of production workers
- Foster a positive, accountable, and safety-focused work environment
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing coaching
Driver & Logistics Coordination
- Manage and dispatch drivers for timely container deliveries and pickups across the Los Angeles area
- Optimize delivery routes and schedules to maximize efficiency and reduce costs
- Ensure compliance with DOT regulations and company policies
Customer Service
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients regarding deliveries, pickups, and service issues
- Resolve customer concerns promptly and professionally
- Build and maintain strong client relationships
Inventory & Equipment Management
- Track container inventory, repairs, and availability
- Ensure equipment, vehicles, and tools are properly maintained
- Coordinate repairs and preventative maintenance
Safety & Compliance
- Enforce safety policies and procedures across production and transportation operations
- Conduct regular safety meetings and inspections
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in operations management, preferably in manufacturing, logistics, or container/industrial services
- Experience managing both production teams and drivers or field personnel
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of routing, dispatch, and transportation logistics
- Familiarity with safety regulations (OSHA, DOT preferred)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, hands-on environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the container, waste management, or construction-related industries
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
- Proficiency with scheduling or dispatch software
Physical & Work Requirements
- Ability to work in both office and yard/production environments
- Occasional lifting, walking, and outdoor work required
- Flexible hours may be needed based on operational demands
